WAVE Adventure was established to fill a gap in under-served communities for local, accessible and affordable non-traditional sport/ activities for young people. The charity provides outdoor activities in small groups, team building and leadership training as a way to engage young people and support them to develop. All the programmes are led by young people, who take an active role in decision making and can progress at their own pace, choosing their own pathway. The team at WAVE are all trauma informed experienced community workers. Their model of outdoor practitioners and therapists working regularly with small groups is successful in working with young people experiencing disadvantage.

Trusthouse awarded a Small Grant of £9,600 for salary and running costs for activities in the locality of Breightmet in Bolton.
