The Moses Project is  based in the heart of the Stockton community and provides mentoring and support to adult males, aged 25+, with past and current addictions to drugs and alcohol. Men may walk in off the street or be referred by the charity’s network of referral partners. With long-term mentored assistance through their buddy scheme, The Moses Project educates their clients in managing money, shopping and preparing meals, paying bills, and obtaining employment. They facilitate a wide range of activities including drop off facilities for a shower and a hot meal, and one to one support for referral to statutory and voluntary agencies tackling addiction and mental health issues.  Some of their clients progress to volunteering, informing service delivery and ensuring as many men as possible are returned as thriving community members. A Small Grant of £9,953 was awarded for the salary costs of the charity’s outreach support worker and running costs.
