Manchester Cares  aims to tackle loneliness and isolation for older (65+) and younger neighbours (18-35) most at risk.  While rapid population and business growth in Manchester brings exciting opportunities, it has also left many current and new residents feeling displaced or disconnected. Manchester Cares aims to bridge social, generational and cultural divides and increase a sense of belonging for older and younger generations alike. They do this through bringing neighbours together to build relationships on a one-to-one basis. Their Love Your Neighbour programme supports inter-generational befriending.  A Small Grant of £10,000 was awarded for the salary of the programme co-ordinator.
