The Gateway Collective is a social enterprise working to increase well-being, create social connections and make Bootle a better place for everyone using the tool of community gardening. They deliver a range of community growing activities in various locations across Bootle which are open to everyone and in each session they eat together, often cooking with what they have grown, in order to build relationships and personal connections.  They produce recipes to promote healthy eating and also grow in the public spaces in Bootle to promote community pride. They make jams, pickles and chutneys with any surplus food grown and sell these at local markets.  Their aims as a community organisation is on increasing mental and physical well-being and creating community.  Trusthouse awarded a Small Grant of £10,000 for salary and running costs.
