Relationships Scotland-Counselling Highland  provides relationships counselling in the Highlands to people over the age of 16 experiencing relationship difficulties. The services they provide positively foster not just the mental health of their adult clients but also of children and young people. By supporting interparental relationships, their counsellors aim to rectify the negative consequences of family stress, conflict and breakdown on parents and children and prevent the intergenerational transmission of factors that lead to disrupted family relationships and family breakdown. RSCH stress that positive outcomes of counselling are not dependent on clients staying together but on improved communication between them, thus relieving stress for them and their families. A Small Grant of £6,000 was awarded for delivering counselling sessions for people in the locality of Merkinch in Inverness
