Bags of Taste  tackles food poverty at source, enabling families in local communities to feed themselves on a very low budget of below £1 a portion so they can be less reliant on food banks. Bags of Taste delivers a cooking programme that uses the tools of behavioural science to bring about a sustained and tangible change amongst participants.  They run virtual mentored programmes for families that have recently experienced homelessness, single parent families and ex-offenders. They also work with organisations that support people with mental health issues, people with drug and addiction issues, people with learning disabilities and vulnerable adults.  Trusthouse awarded a Small Grant of £10,000 for the delivery of virtual mentored programmes to enable families to feed themselves on a very low budget, learning food skills and resilience, in the London Borough of Haringey.
